I believe in Sunday mornings – I believe in moonlit skies
And I believe I can see the hope in a new born baby’s eyes
And I believe this old world’s hurtin’ – but a new day’s dawnin’ bright
I just can’t believe you’re in my arms tonight
I believe in country music – and I believe in rock & roll
And I believe that love can turn a man’s heart into gold
I believe the moment’s magic when you turn and smile so right
I just can’t believe you’re in my arms tonight

I can’t believe – you’re in my arms – I can’t believe – you feel so right
I can’t believe – baby, I just can’t believe

I believe in second chances – I believe The Golden Rule
And I believe what The Good Book says – I believe in me and you
And I believe in all the lessons that our daddies taught were right
I just can’t believe you’re in my arms tonight

And I believe in freedom – I believe I hear the call
And I believe in the power of love – to change things for us all
And I believe in reachin’ out – to change what’s wrong to right

I believe in walkin’ softly – but I believe in standin’ tall
‘Cause I believe that in the end – good wins, after all
And I believe this old world’s turnin’ – but it’s turnin’ out all right
I just can’t believe you’re in my arms tonight

And I believe – And I believe
I believe – I believe
Yes, I believe – baby, I still believe

I know it's over, I know it's time
I know I'm no longer yours, and you're no longer mine
And your heart's set on leaving, and maybe it's time
But the heart that you break as you're leaving well, Baby, that's mine.

Chorus
So let me down easy, please let me down slow
Let me pretend that tomorrow you won't let me go.
Just stay for tonight, Babe...say it ain't so
Babe, won't you let me down easy, please let me down slow...

I know the sadness, these tears that I cry
They'll pass through the years, and I'll someday stop wondering why
But tonight it ain't easy to watch our love die
So for tonight, hold on tight to me darling, please don't say good-bye.

Chorus
And let me down easy, please let me down slow
Let me pretend that tomorrow you won't let me go
Cry me a river, sing me a song
Babe, won't you let me down easy, just string me along.

Chorus (Repeats)
Let me down easy, please let me down slow
Let me pretend that tomorrow you won't let me go
Just stay for tonight, Babe...and say it ain't so
Babe, won't you let me down easy, let me down slow...
Babe, won't you let me down easy, let me down slow...
Babe, won't you let me down easy...don't let me down.

Been out all night a walking, Babe, I haven't slept for days
I guess we both know it's coming to an end
I've wondered if you're coming home each time you've gone away
Now, I guess you won't be coming back again.

Chorus
And we never meant to hurt each other or to let the loving die
But Babe, we never worked to make it stay
So it's time to go, now, there's only time for one more last good-bye
And the love that's left when the hurting's gone away.

Oooh...the fights were endless, Babe, and oooh...our friends were right
They said you and I were never meant to be
But oooh!...the times you loved me softly somewhere in the night
Now I guess that shouldn't matter much to me.

Chorus
But someday, when they're about to lay this tired old body down
And the road I'm riding takes the final turn
I'll still remember, you're the best this poor heart ever found
I'll still love you more than you could ever learn.

Just one last chance to tell you, Babe, now one more thing to say
Then I'll pack my bags and head on out the door
For all our ups and downs, the feelings just won't fade away
And despite the pain, I couldn't love you more.

Chorus
And someday, when they're about to lay this tired old body down
And this old road has nowhere left to go
I'll still remember, you're the best this poor heart ever found
I'll still love you more than you could ever know.

She gets up with the sun-up, gets the kids to school
Thinks about her day ahead, repeats "The Golden Rule"
But then she thinks about him, and for a little while
The lady's so in love...he makes her smile.

He gets up with the sun-up, another lonely day
Sometimes it seems all his plans and dreams got lost along the way
But then he thinks about her, and for a little while
The lady lights his life...she makes him smile.

Chorus
And it's just another day
Two hearts finding a way...forever
Leading lives alone...together...day after day.

She wonders as she holds him..."How'd it get this way?"
She takes his hand, she asks the man, "This time can you stay?"
But with the dawn he's leaving, and so she holds him tight
And they're reaching out for love, again, tonight.

Chorus
And it's just another day
Two hearts finding a way...forever
Leading lives alone...together...day after day.

He wonders as he holds her, why they're leading lives apart
A working man, a broken plan, a young girl's broken heart
He says they'll be together in just a little while
He leaves her with a kiss...a tear...a smile.

Chorus
And it's just another day
Two hearts finding a way...together
Leading lives alone forever...forever...day after day.

Love gettin' "crazy" with you, baby
Love gettin' wild all the time
Love to get it goin'...now you got me knowin'
I'm lovin' that your lovin's all mine
Can't stop thinkin' 'bout you, baby
We're "crazy" and we' wild and it's true
Guess I always knew it...when it gets down to it
I love getting "crazy" with you

Love gettin' "crazy" in the mornin'
Love gettin' "crazy" in the night
And when we get it goin' you might as well be knowing
I'm lovin' that your lovin's all right
Can't stop thinkin' 'bout it, Baby
And all the "crazy" things we're goin' to do
Guess we always knew it...when it gets down to it
I love gettin' "crazy" with you

Chorus
Love to get it rockin'...love to get it rollin'...
Love to get it every time play!
Cause when we get it goin'...you know our love is showin'...
I love getting "crazy" every day!

Love to get it rockin'...love to get it rollin'...
Love to get it every time play!
Cause when we get it goin'...you know our love is showin'...
I love getting "crazy" every day!

Love gettin' "crazy" with you baby
Love to see that fire in your eyes
Temperature's a risin' guess there's no disguisin'
I love it that I'm feelin' so alive
Can't stop thinking 'bout us, baby
Whenever we're together...well, it's true
Guess we always knew it when it gets down to it
I love getting "crazy" with you!

Sail me home, Solomon Wind
'Been away too long, head me home again
Comes a time, we grow too old
Need a heart, a hand to hold.

Sail me down the Solomon Keys
Head me out across the seven seas
And I've sailed too long alone
Nothing for me now but the heading home...

Chorus
All my life a sailor, see me stranded on the shore
I come too soon to see my journey's end
Lived my life alone, now I can't take it anymore
Need to feel your soft sea breeze again.

And sail me home, Solomon Wind
Don't believe she'll back again
Quiet sky, silent sea
Let your cool dark waters carry me...

Chorus
Are we all just sailors standing stranded on the shore?
We come too soon to see our journeys' end
Live our lives alone til we can't take it anymore
Need to feel your soft sea breeze again.

And sail me home, Solomon Wind
'Been away too long, head me home again
Comes a time, we grow too old
Need a heart, a hand to hold...

No one smiled and held me close this morning – no one softly sighed and said she cared
And no one said she’d wait for me – when I came in from working late
And now when I get home – nobody’s there
I guess she always said I’d find out someday – now she’s gone, I see the girl was right
When she said “no one makes it all alone – we’re nobody without someone...”
Oh lord, I need to be somebody tonight

And everybody needs somebody sometime
It seems we spend our whole life wishing love could work out right
But now too late I know it’s true I guess she always knew it, too
Oh lord, I need to be somebody tonight – somebody tonight

No one’s here to hear me say “I’m sorry” – ‘cause no one’s left to tell her she was right
By now she’s found somebody new to hold her close and tell her, too
Oh lord, I need to be somebody tonight

And everybody needs somebody sometime
It seems we spend our whole life wishing love could work out right
But now too late I know it’s true I guess she always knew it, too
Oh lord, I need to be somebody tonight – somebody tonight

No one left her make-up out this morning – no one used my razor and my comb
And no one’s asking where I’ve been when I’m out half the night, but then
Now when I get back – nobody’s home
If i could turn back time for just one minute – I’d whisper to her as I held her tight
And I’d say, “I won’t leave you all alone I’m nobody without someone”
Oh lord, I need to be somebody tonight

‘Cause everybody needs somebody sometime
It seems we spend our whole life wishing love could work out right
But now too late I know it’s true I guess she always knew it, too
Oh lord, I need to be somebody tonight – somebody tonight

Well, I'm standing at the crossroads of the fast lanes of my mind
And I'm getting tired-of leavin' that girl behind
And I'd love to take her with me each and every place I go
But my tongue gets tied-when I try to tell her so
And I'm so tired of leavin' things this way
But I ain't got words to say-the way I'm feelin'...

Chorus
So I'll just Dream Of Her Tonight (and miss her...)
And long to hold her tight (and kiss her...)
And it somehow don't seem right-so mister I'm pleadin'
Won't you sit and write a song for me
The kind the ladies love
With guitars and three-part harmony
And the moon-lit stars above
And I'll sit and sing it softly
Tell her who I'm dreamin' of....

Well, I'm rollin' through the canyons and the hollows of my mind
And I'm getting tired-of leavin' that girl behind
And I've somehow got to reach her, teach her everything I know
But my brain gets fried-when I try to tell her so
And I'm so tired of leavin' things this way
But I ain't got words to say-the way I'm feelin'...

Chorus
So I'll just Dream Of Her Tonight (and miss her...)
And long to hold her tight (and kiss her...)
Still it somehow don't seem right-so mister I'm pleadin'
Won't you sit and write a song for me
The kind she'll understand
With guitars and three-part harmony
And the "Front-Porch Country Band"
And I'll sit and sing it softly to her
Tell her I'm her man...
Well, I'm standing at the off-ramp of the exits of my mind

When I was just a little bitty boy
Sittin' on the front porch swing
Folks would stop and just gather around
Got to be a front porch thing
Daddy there pickin' on his old guitar
Boy, the old man could sing
Forever I'll remember all the music we made
Sittin' on the front porch swing

- Instrumental Break -

Front porch memories still hold strong
Banjo and the mandolin
Washboard scratchin' out our favorite song
Tub bass kickin' in
Daddy still strummin' on his old guitar
Boy the old man could sing…
Forever I'll remember all the fun we shared
Sittin' on the front porch swing!
Now whenever we're together…
Sittin' and a swingin'…
We're pickin' and a grinnin' and
a-sittin' on the front porch swing

I still hear the echoes of your voice softly calling
Calling to me one last time
Somehow in that moment as the world came down around you
The voice you needed most to hear was mine
All up and down these concrete canyons
Through the open skies far above
You were calling to me one last time
And whispering your love

They say our dreams are echoes of hearts that feel a longing
Babe I long to hold you close tonight
Every night I'm dreaming you're still lying here beside me
Now nothing in my world feels right
But I know someday the skies again will open
And you'll hold me close in heaven far above
'Til then you're calling to me and I still hear the echoes of your love
Thanks for calling to me one last time and whispering your love, yes
You're still calling to me and I still hear the echoes of your love
Echoes of your love...echoes of your love...echoes of your love

We were sittin' on the front porch Saturday night
Kickin' back, takin' a break (…or was it Monday?)
Pickin' our guitars, layin' some licks
When the whole house started to shake
We looked straight up 'n saw an awesome sight
There sailin' over head
Streakin' through the sky like the 4th of July
Came the big ball of burnin' red

Well, it was movin' real fast and it flew right past
Our front porch - pickin' up steam
Scarin' all the chickens nearly half to death
And tearin' off the tops of the trees
When it came to rest just a little bit west
Of our big ol' barn in the field
We felt a hot shock - the whole place rocked
Knockin' us back on our heels

Chorus
When that Hot Rock came to the Country
The whole country started to roll
Well it made a big blast as it flew right past
And opened up a hundred foot hole
But the really cool thing as we started to sing
It shook us down to our soul
And the music's never gonna sound the same again
Since the Country's gone Rock 'n Roll

Didn't take long for the sheriff to call
"You boys see anything strange?"
Was that a UFO? 'cause whatever it was
Man, it's lightin' up our radar range
So we told the truth we reported the news
And this is what the radio said
Just a meteor shower, at this late hour
Go home and tuck yourselves in bed

But just about then, climbing out of that hole
Crawled a funny little green-faced man
Staring at us he just smiled and said
"I've come to join a Rock & Roll band
Now Country's sweet and you got a great beat
But you got to play it down to your soul
Yeah, Country's fine but for a really hot time
I came to make it Rock & Roll!"

Chorus
When that Hot Rock came to the Country
The whole country started to roll
Well it made a big blast as it flew right past
And opened up a hundred foot hole
But the really cool thing as we started to sing
It shook us down to our soul
And Country's never gonna sound the same again
Now Country's gonna Rock & Roll
Now Hot Rock's come to Country and
Country's gone Rock & Roll
Rock & Roll… (flew 5 trillion light years…)
Rock & Roll… (just to Rock the country…)
Rock & Roll…
Country's gonna Rock and Roll... (rockin' U.S.A...)
Rock & Roll…
Rock & Roll… (Country Rocks...!)

Chorus
In those China Nights the full moon’s bright – left my love behind
In those China Nights she haunts me – yes it’s true
Half a world away I can hear her say – your heart forever is mine
And those China Nights still whisper – I love you

China Night lovers – secret rendezvous
Western shore Eastern lights – ooh lady missin’ you tonight
But you’re gone – still dreamin’ – I love you

Chorus
In those China Nights the full moon’s bright – left my love behind

China Night lovers – mystic point of view
Great Wall risin’ starlight shines – Forbidden Cities aurora skies
But you’re gone – still dreamin’ I love you (yes I do)

Chorus
In those China Nights the full moon’s bright – left my love behind
In those China Nights she haunts me – yes it’s true

Oh my China home – take me by the hand
Teach the ancient ways
I’ll understand

Oh my China home – your mysteries never end
I long to learn your secrets – and walk your
Ancient paths again

Oh the river flows – rolling on and on
Gentle voices touch and
Fill my heart with song

Oh, mighty Himalayas – mountains of my youth
Take me back to the dawn of time
Teach me all of your truth

Oh, rolling Yangtze waters – river of my youth
Take me back to the dawn of time
Teach me all of your truth

South sea China waters – oceans of my youth
Take me back to the dawn of time
Teach me all of your truth

Oh, south sea China waters – oceans of our youth
Take us back to the dawn of time
Teach us all of your truth

Oh my China home – take me by the hand
Teach the ancient ways
I’ll understand

One World. One Dream. One moment to share
Hearts race unseen – beating in time everywhere
All over the World – a bright new morning has dawned
Hearts are yearning – hope is burning
The race for the Dream goes on

One hope. One way. One new vision to share
One Dream. One day. Together at last – everywhere
All over the World – a bright new day now will dawn
Hearts are straining – hope remaining
The race for the Dream goes on

One World. One Dream. One moment to share
Hearts race unseen – beating in time everywhere
All over the World – a bright new morning has dawned
Hearts are yearning – hope is burning
The race for Peace goes on

One World – sharing the Dream. One Dream – I want a beautiful World
One World – believe in the Dream. One Dream – there’s only one World
One World – keepin’ the Dream. One Dream – it’s a beautiful World
