NORTH COUNTRY, U.S.A. – The Front Porch Country Band today announced the official worldwide release of their newest 2-Disc CD-DVD Set, The World China Tour, featuring 21 tracks of new and previously-released studio recordings on CD – including eleven new songs and four separate video shows on DVD.

The World China Tour album features “The China Trilogy,” written during their first tour of China – including the inspiring “One World. One Dream.” written and recorded by the band to honor The 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. The China Trilogy reflects the band’s unique experiences inside China, while still maintaining their signature Original American Country style for which they’ve become known worldwide.

“This album means a lot to us,” says lead guitarist Rick Buck. “It represents something bigger than just our music – a cultural connection between America and the Chinese people.”

While “The China Trilogy” brings a taste of Chinese culture back to America, the rest of the album features the band’s patented “North Country” sound – thundering country rock combined with the gentle acoustic songs that showcase their soaring 6-part harmonies and the dazzling play of one of the world’s greatest guitar bands. The songs were performed by the band during The World China Tour to standing ovations from enthralled audiences.

The Front Porch Country Band’s historic 21,000 mile tour was hosted by the renowned China Performing Arts Agency and organized by The U.S.-China Foundation. Discussions are now underway to return the band to Beijing as part of China’s 2008 Summer Olympic Festival celebrations. “We continue to be honored by the warm receptions we receive from fans around the globe,” says lead singer Johnny Jolin. “We’re proud to be America’s ambassadors of country music to the people of the world.”

The World China Tour is the first in a wave of three new albums being released by The Front Porch Country Band during 2008. Their newest music is available now for digital download from the world’s greatest online music retailers including iTunes and Napster, as well as the band’s own websites.
