NEW SONG HITS WITH METEOR IMPACT
SONIC BOOM SPARKS RELEASE FROM NEW RECORDING ARTISTS:
THE FRONT PORCH COUNTRY BAND

Lewisburg, PA - The meteor event that shook central Pennsylvania this week is igniting the latest radio hit across the state. "Hot Rock Came To The Country" is the hot new single from The Front Porch Country Band, released today in advance of the world premier of the band's first album - scheduled for September.

"We were mixing the band's final album tracks when the meteor hit," said Rick Gathman, the band's producer. "Our writers sat down to have a little fun and make a big impact. This song tells a story - our version of what happened. It's a little bit of fact, a little bit of fiction, and a whole lot of fun."

The band's new album, "Somebody Tonight," was already scheduled for release just after Labor Day - when the meteor struck on Monday. Now the band has rushed their just-completed new single onto airwaves. Beginning today, music fans around the world can download the song directly from the band's web site: www.frontporchcountryband.com.

The new song was written and arranged, recorded, packaged, and hand-delivered to radio station program-directors less than 72 hours after the meteor struck. "When something this big happens, it sparks all kinds of interest, curiosity and speculation. This is our story and we're sticking to it," Gathman laughed. "And we see it as a great opportunity to showcase the hot, new, rockin' country sound of The Front Porch Country Band."

The six-member band features some of the greatest country and rock players north of Nashville - performing on guitar, drums, bass, keyboards and vocals. Though they've been playing together informally for years, they band members will appear live together on stage for the first time as The Front Porch Country Band, following the new album's release in September. The players' names will be revealed to fans and media at that time.

This recording project is also the first commercial release for the newly formed USAgency Entertainment Division, according to Gathman, USAgency president. The project is paving the way for the launch of several new recording endeavors to be released nationally in the months to come, in association with USAgency's growing Nashville affiliations. Launched in 1988, USAgency is the national award-winning full-service advertising agency with corporate executive offices based in Lewisburg.
